heating wiring training course

We are lucky enough to use Access Training Academy in Cardiff and Edenbridge whilst also having a venue in Malvern. We have now just teamed up with Grundfos and are now hosting our wiring course at their venues too. We have now added Grundfos pumps to our wiring boards so that you will now get hands on in wiring these into the systems. During the Official Breakdown Bible one day wiring course you will get hands on with having your own wiring board allowing you to wire up an S and Y plan system using the sequences that are outlined in the Breakdown Bible. You will also learn safe isolation, earth loop testing, condense pump wiring, combi boiler wiring along side fault finding electrically on the wiring boards. 

Every person who attends the course will get their own copy of the Breakdown Bible to use during the training and to take home with them. During the training you will get hands on experience with measuring and cutting cable and battling to get the cables into a 10 way junction box with every component being found within the domestic home with a Y or S plan system.

One of the most common domestic boilers found in homes all over the country is the Worcester Bosch 30SI combo boiler, now at an age where faults are developing. During the course you will get the chance to get hands on and strip down this boiler and I will also show you my top tips for how to replace certain components while giving you access to my van stock parts list to maximise my fix first time ratio out in the breakdown world.

During the course you will have your own station that will include an S plan and Y plan wiring board complete with a twin channel programmer, hard wired room stat, hard wired cylinder stat and a Grundfos central heating pump all to be wired into the system via a Honeywell 10 way wiring centre to fire the boiler (which in this case will be a lightbulb). The reason everyone gets their own station is so that everyone gets plenty of hands on time and experience. I have designed and built this course around my 18 years experience within the trade and with your needs at the forefront.  

The main aim of this course is to give you the confidence to open a wiring centre on a heating system and to know what target colours you're looking for to be able to identify the fault. I teach the course using the Breakdown Bible, which was built using the sequence of operation which not only enables you to wire up an S and Y plan system from start to finish but also how to fault find on these systems.

Unlike other courses, I will remain on the other end of the phone to help guide you through any wiring related questions you may have when you return back into the world of breakdowns. My goal is to help educate and grow your confidence in the wiring side of heating systems because this was one of the hardest things If found to get my head around. 

How long is the course? 

The course is one day long, starts at 9am and finishes at 4pm

The course costs £250 including VAT and this gets you a space on the course plus your own copy of the Breakdown bible
